Client Case Study - Vodacom – EDRIQ Billing Reporting System

As part of my on-going relationship with the BI Practice in Cape Town, BI in the Box was given the task as Business Analyst(BA) to scope the replacement of a current system.

After the BA phase we were tasked to technically design and do the initial coding on the system.

This system is a "real-time" BI solution with the call records being in the Data warehouse only 4hours after an end user makes a call on their mobile phone. The call record first goes through the billing system and is then loaded into the Data warehouse. The system caters for 24/7 loading and queries from a base of +- 50 concurrent users.

The system went live, after 4 months from the kick off meeting, and is one of the big success stories in the relationship between the BI Practice and Vodacom.
