This was initially a short term contract where we were tasked with creating Business Objects reports based on the Postillion Office EFT switch data.

With our in-depth knowledge of Sybase IQ the role switch evolved to one of Sybase IQ optimisation after we found that the data warehouse was running way below par.

 After our suggestions were implemented and the IQ box tuned correctly we saw a dramatic improvement in the speed of queries with the typical run time of reports dropping from 18 minutes to under 1 minute.
